Wednesday Club

Crafting Half day (3 hours) Beginner Intermediate Advanced £37

The Wednesday Club is a brand-new, joyful, 3-hour crafting club (10am–1pm) running twice a month throughout the year, designed for curious, creative people who love trying new things, getting stuck in, and enjoying a relaxed, social crafting session.

The idea for the club came directly from people who’ve already taken courses with Black Paw. Again and again, we were asked for laid-back taster sessions — chances to dip into lots of different arts and crafts without the pressure of signing up for a full course. So The Wednesday Club was born: a space where you can explore, experiment, and play with a wide range of creative skills in bite-sized, fun sessions.

Each session focuses on a completely different craft or technique, which keeps things fresh, surprising, and exciting. One month you might be working with resin, another trying stained glass, flower making in liquid plastic, decoupage, image transfer onto wood, or pyrography (burning art) — with plenty more crafts planned too. We deliberately won’t repeat any craft more than twice a year, so there’s always something new to look forward to.

And it’s not just more fun for you — switching crafts every session keeps things exciting for Scott and Sue as well. Teaching different skills, experimenting alongside you, and sharing techniques they love is what makes the club such a joy to run. Expect enthusiasm, encouragement, and the occasional “let’s try this and see what happens” moment.

Sessions are kept small, friendly, and informal, so there’s plenty of one-to-one guidance and time to ask questions. Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone who already loves making things, you’ll feel welcome and supported. There’s no pressure to be perfect — this is about enjoying the process, learning something new, and having a good time.

Of course, no Wednesday Club would be complete without tea, biscuits, good chat, and lots of laughter. It’s as much a creative social club as it is a craft session — a chance to take a break from the week, meet like-minded people, and leave feeling inspired (and usually a bit proud of what you’ve made).

Perfect as a regular creative treat, a way to discover new hobbies, or just an excuse to get out of the house and make something with your hands — The Wednesday Club is all about creativity, variety, and having fun together.

Excellent course. Very comprehensive guidance and some practical tuition. I now feel that I am in a much better position to plan and carry out my van conversion. Scott gives you the information to do it right first time and also how to save money while doing it.
